October 21st Weekend

Dear Friends,

We wish Victor a very happy birthday this Saturday. May you have a fabulous day!

These are the homework notes and reminders for the weekend:

1. Check this blog. Now that you're here - great!
First, vote in the survey/poll on the side panel about Ontario symbols. Then, scroll to the bottom of the blog and check out the Youtube video of Jerry Seinfeld enthusiastically reading from his hilarious story, Halloween. What is the secret to good storytelling?
Remember, you may post a comment or question on the blog by responding to this entry.

2. Reading Journal - Complete your worksheet about making inferences. The heading is Run:Ch.10. Write between 3 to 5 questions and inferences to match.

3. French

4. Social Studies/Brainstorm - Why should you be the class Prime Minister?
(You may use any piece of paper to begin developing ideas for your speech in Thursday's class election!)

Have a great weekend,
Ms. Perlmutter

  1. October 21st weekend

The poll is closed, so I had to write the answer as part of my blog entry.
The answer to the question, which item is not part of the Ontario symbol is the Snowy Owl (bird).

    Jerry Seinfeld’s "Halloween"

What is the secret to good storytelling?
The secret is to tell the story that the audience will understand and can relate to it.
Jerry Seinfeld is a comedian so he told jokes about his own Halloween experiences and he believes the audience has had similar experiences.
It is important because the audience will admire the story and might have a connection to it so they will listen.
